Private English Language Tutor and Copy Editor in Boston
My name is Eric Berg and I am a private English tutor and copy editor living in Arlington, Massachusetts, near Cambridge and Boston. I have a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), administered by Cambridge University, a Bachelors degree in English Literature from Northeastern University, a Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia, and a certificate in copy editing from Emerson College. I am currently working at Global-LT and the International School of Boston, and have worked at Berlitz; the New York Language Center; an ESL school in Sao Paolo, Brazil; and a school in Allston, MA.
I am very knowledgeable about grammar, usage, and vocabulary, and I also speak French, Italian, and some Spanish. I usually meet in cafes or libraries, but I can come to your house if you live close to Cambridge, Somerville, or Arlington.
I am also a freelance copy editor who has edited documents including articles on Japanese religious history, biochemistry proposals, and documents and presentations for a UN official. I am also conversant in mathematics and physics, having been a math and physics major in high school and my first year in college. I specialize in documents written by non-native speakers.
