About Eric
I am an experienced English as a Second Language Teacher who lives in Arlington, Massachusetts, in the United States. I currently teach at the International School of Boston and work for a relocation services company called Global LT. I have a Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), which is administered by Cambridge University in England, a Bachelors degree in English Literature from Northeastern University, a Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia, and a certificate in copy editing from Emerson College.
I have lived in Paris, France; Dublin, Ireland; a Greek island in the Mediterranean; New York; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. I can speak French, Italian, and some Spanish, can read Latin, and know some Old English and Greek, all of which I studied at the Harvard Extension School. I was born in Cambridge, and have spent most of my life here, so I know Boston landmarks, tourist destinations, and local bars/restaurants very well.
I enjoy rowing on the Charles and going to the gym, reading literature in foreign languages, going to museums, and playing billiards. I also draw with charcoal and do some painting, and have written several hundred poems over my lifetime.
